I am going to share with you about how to excel in studies. If there is just some random person with average result that wants to share about this topic with you, it may not be convincing enough. Before I start, let me tell you my SPM result. I was one of the students who got straight As. I have attached my SPM result below as a proof.

How to Excel in Studies
Don’t procrastinate
Procrastination is to be slow or late about doing something that should be done. It is a very bad habit that all of us should avoid. As a Chinese saying goes “let today’s work be done today”. Therefore, stop saying “I will do it tomorrow”, because there will be endless tomorrow. You may delay, but time will not, and lost time is never found again. There is another quote that says “if you wait until the wind and the weather are just right, you will never plant anything and never harvest anything."
Time management
Time management is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between specific activities. Good time management enables you to work smarter – not harder – so that you get more done in less time, even when time is tight, and pressures are high. Failing to manage your time damages your effectiveness and causes stress. One good way to manage your time is to come out with a daily schedule and follow it. "Time is more valuable than money, you can get more money, but you cannot get more time,” says Jim Rohn.
Pay attention in class
Paying attention in class is important because it helps you learn and process information. When you are alert, prepared and ready to listen, you have more of an opportunity to think critically about the educational material and ask appropriate questions to further your knowledge. One way to focus while the teacher is teaching is to jot down notes and highlight the important points. As most of us are having online class now, it is crucial to avoid distracting yourself during the class by browsing around on your computer or smart phone. Devote your attention solely to the class.
Set achievable goals
SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely) goal setting is one of the most effective yet least used tools for achieving goals. SMART brings structure and trackability into goal setting and creates verifiable trajectories with clear milestones. If your goals have those five attributes, you are far more likely to stick to them down the track. For example, your goal is to get at least A- for the subject Digital Media in this semester. When you achieve each study goal, reward yourself, refresh your mindset and realign your focus to your next goal.
